Bewilderness Privacy Policy

 

This pri­vacy policy explains how we use the per­sonal data we col­lect from you as a user of Bewilderness. To use this expe­ri­ence, you must con­sent to the data col­lec­tion terms described here. In addi­tion to this pri­vacy policy, we also use the third-party ser­vices includ­ing Sidequest and Oculus. We use Sidequests and Oculus to dis­trib­ute and run the soft­ware. What data do we collect?

We col­lect the fol­low­ing data:

  • We may col­lect anonymized game­play data. This includes the following:

    • Primary actions you take in the game. 

  • Near the end of the demo experience, we ask you to voluntarily rate the game and provide your email address. You can easily opt-out by hitting cancel. 

 

How do we collect your data?

We col­lect data auto­mat­i­cally when you:

  • Run the expe­ri­ence and con­nect to the Sidequest server.

 

How will we use your data?

We col­lect your data so that we can:

  • Observe how you use the experience so that we can make improvements to the experience.
     

How do we store your data?

App ratings and user email addresses provided voluntarily are stored in a CRM database. We reach out to every user that provides this information for the purposes of improving the app. Any user may opt out at anytime by unsubscribing to our email communication, or requesting same at the email address below. 
 

Anonymous game­play data is kept indef­i­nitely and is not shared with anyone. 

What are your data protection rights?

We would like to make sure you are fully aware of all your data pro­tec­tion rights.

Every user is enti­tled to the following:

  • The right to access – You have the right to request our copies of your per­sonal data. We may charge you a small fee for this service.

  • The right to rec­ti­fi­ca­tion – You have the right to request that we cor­rect any infor­ma­tion you believe is inac­cu­rate. You also have the right to request us to com­plete the infor­ma­tion you believe is incomplete.

  • The right to era­sure – You have the right to request that we erase your per­sonal data, under cer­tain con­di­tions. Note that it may not be pos­si­ble to delete anony­mous data once it has been incor­po­rated into the dataset.

  • The right to restrict pro­cess­ing – You have the right to request that we restrict the pro­cess­ing of your per­sonal data, under cer­tain conditions.

  • The right to object to pro­cess­ing – You have the right to object to our pro­cess­ing of your per­sonal data, under cer­tain conditions.

  • The right to data porta­bil­ity – You have the right to request that we trans­fer the data that we have col­lected to another orga­ni­za­tion, or directly to you, under cer­tain conditions.
